Following a selection process I have successfully achieved a place on the north Essex international trip to Mexico along with 28 others. After experiencing Mexico city we will travel to Cuernavaca where we will undertake our project as part as their friendship event. This will be a fantastic opportunity to experience an alternative culture, see what guiding is like overseas, make new friends from across the world and put something back in to the local community through the service project.  This trip will be only my 2nd time on a plane and my first trip overseas without my family.  I hoping to gain a new sense of independence, problem solving skills, communication skills, teamworking and may be even leadership skills.

This is an opportunity and experience I never thought I would have and I am going to work hard to raise the required funds.
