Around 1.25 to 3.4 million people within the UK suffer with a form of eating disorder, eating disorders thrive in secrecy, so therefore it is so important that as much awareness towards the mental illness is spread as possible.

As being someone who is currently in recovery for an eating disorder, I have come to notice within the media and throughout the people around me, there is hardly any recognition and awareness towards eating disorders and the severity that follows. Therefore meaning being able to take part in spreading awareness and raising money towards an amazing charity means so much to me.

Beat is a charity in which supports not only those who are going through an eating disorder and/or recovering from one but also the loved ones who also may need support. They have many different types of support and information throughout their website and have been able to help so many people, including myself. Any donation or contributions not only helps to spread awareness to this much needed cause, but also helps Beat to be able to support and help all the people that they do.

I hope that I am able to raise awareness and with the help of Beat to educate people about eating disorders and most importantly let those know who are fighting in silence that they aren't alone and you can fight this!:)
