Edinburgh Marathon Festival Half Marathon 2024 · 26 May 2024 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

As I gear up for the Edinburgh Half Marathon, I am not just running for fitness and as personal goal; I am running for a cause that's close to my heart.

I am running in memory of William Cannon, Andrew's grandad, a remarkable man who fought Alzheimer's with incredible strength. Every step I take, every mile I conquer, will be in his honor, a tribute to his enduring spirit.

I also want to raise awareness of this disease and support those that work hard at the charity that help the people and families impacted by Alzheimer's.

This will be my first ever half-marathon and I will be training and running this event with my amazing friends at the No Knees Run Club. If you have any spare change to help me support this great cause and cross that finish line, I would be so grateful!

Thank you, Caitlin 🫶🏼 x
