I'm taking part in the EFN Relay Challenge for Autism East Midlands to support the great work the charity does to help individuals living with autism and their families in the East Midlands.

I enjoy running but have never attempted a challenge like this before...

I will be challenging myself to run a total of 50km throughout October, starting off with 5km and gearing up to a final 10km at the end of the month! 

What am I fundraising for?

Autism East Midlands, like many charities, has been hugely
affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Throughout the crisis they have endeavoured to continue supporting autistic adults and children throughout the region as we all adjusted to the restrictions.

Moving forward, the transition to the ‘new normal’ will be especially challenging for autistic individuals and their families and it is vital they receive targeted support. For example:

£50 could provide specialist play equipment for family
support hubs and children’s clubs

£100 could help provide specialist educational resources for
Sutherland House School in Nottingham

£200 could support the work of an employment coach to help an autistic jobseeker achieve their dreams
