Covid19 Crisis Appeal
Campaign by Safe & Sound (RCN 1152935)
With UK adoption centres now CLOSED, dog wardens are warning "DIFFICULT DECISIONS " must be made if stray dogs cannot move to rescue centres. To save lives, we must provide emergency boarding to stray dogs affected by the Covid19 crisis. Please help!

Story

Please support me to raise money for safe and sound dogs. I am doing a 10K run on the 6th August. Payment goes straight to the charity. Due to the pandemic there has been an increase in abandoned dogs who need help. Just £8 could buy a death row dog an extra 24hrs. Please look  here https://www.facebook.com/SafeNSoundpounddogs for more information. The route I will
take is shown below

When the Covid-19 crisis reached UK shores, Safe & Sound's trustees held their breath, unsure what the disease would mean for the death row dogs we serve. It is now clear that the Covid-19 crisis is the greatest threat we have faced as a rescue. Following this week's lockdown announcement, adoption centres we rely upon to assist our dogs closed with immediate effect. Some of our dog wardens warn they may be forced to make "difficult decisions" in the coming days if their strays cannot be moved to safety. There is only one way to save lives: to use our "Safe Havens". With adoption centres shut indefinitely, moving dogs to our emergency boarding is our only option. But it will not come cheap. Keeping one stray alive at our Safe Haven for a month will cost at least £360.We are aware that many of you reading this will have lost your income overnight. We know many of our supporters will not be in a position to help, but hope that those who can, will give just a few pounds to help.
