On the 2nd of October I'm going to be taking part in my first half marathon and in doing so would love to raise funds for a Charity close to my heart  . . . Team Edward Labrador Rescue 💙

Team Edward is a registered charity. They are a non-profit organisation run entirely by volunteers and are dedicated to the re-homing of Labradors. Their aim is simple........to help as many Labradors as possible who find themselves in need of a new forever home

Team Edward was founded in 2013 by Wendy Brassington along with a group of friends all sharing the same passion, a love of Labradors. Named after Wendy's rescue dog Edward, Team Edward went on to become a registered charity in 2014.

Team Edward has gone from strength to strength gaining recognition and rewards for their fabulous work. Wendy herself was nominated for a Pride of Britain award in 2015, and recognised by the then Prime Minister , Mr David Cameron, for a Point of Light Award for her dedication to the breed and her fundraising efforts.

Very often dogs find themselves homeless through no fault of their own. The Charities team of hard working volunteers are dedicated to finding these dogs a loving, permanent home.

They aim to give every dog in their care a second chance irrespective of age or illness
