Hike for Her in March · 3 March 2021

Plan International Ireland is a development organisation that advances children's rights and equality for girls. Everyday, we ensure that the children who are most marginalised receive the education and essential services they deserve and the protection and care they are too often denied. Your generous donations go to life-saving projects, such as providing clean water supplies and child immunisation, which make an immediate and lasting impact to the world's poorest children. We know that it is impossible for a child to reach their potential unless their community is developing alongside them. Plan International's commitment to each community means that the health, sanitation and education programmes we establish are long-term and sustainable.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Whilst I appreciate we are in challenging economic times any amount you can spare to support my HIKE FOR HER IN MARCH will be gratefully received and will make a big difference to supporting girls education in West Africa

Here is what I am doing and why

There is nothing more important than education, but, unfortunately, due to conflict, child marriage, food crises and many other factors, so many children worldwide, especially girls, are denied the access to the education they need to thrive.

Hike for Her is a fundraising challenge in celebration of International Women’s Day. The challenge is to hike 100 kilometres in March to raise vital funds for girls’ education in West Africa.
