1 in 100 people live with autism, and most of those above the age of 25 didn't have access to organisations like Ambitious about Autism, meaning they were excluded from education and living as ordinary a life as possible.
I decided to ride a whopping 220 miles from Manchester to London in a day with 300 others to support people with autism. I'm aiming to complete the course in 14h, which will not only be an immense physical effort but also a mental one.
Started as a small idea founded by a group of parents who wanted more opportunities for their children. Ambitious about Autism is a charity with modern and empathetic ways of making sure, with the help of their families, that children and young people with autism are given the best start from their diagnosis. They created a specialist school, the Tree House school that helps autistic children who have been rejected by the education system fulfil their full potential. These children can then go on to the Ambitious College where they prepare their students for employment and success
