Story
I have historically managed to convince myself that an annual ski trip and a few long walks were sufficient exercise - I did this for around 15 years. I decided in early 2020 that this needed to change and since then have progressed from a first run where I was walking after 250m, to having covered just over 700km in 2021, and averaging 100km per month so far in 2022.
On Sunday 3rd April I am taking part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon, running in support of Tommy’s.
Tommy’s believe that every baby lost is one too many, and work tirelessly to make the UK the safest place in the world to give birth, supported by people who refuse to accept that a baby's death is just 'one of those things'. Tommy’s exists to support, care for and champion people, no matter where they may be on their pregnancy journey, and also fund pioneering research to identify why pregnancy goes wrong and how to create a better future.
To help me support Tommy’s please donate and support my half marathon effort - thank you for your generosity!
...and to answer a frequently asked question - I am targeting a finish, not a time!
