In December 2020 I first became aware of Toms Trust during the epic 31 marathons in 31 days challenge that marathon and endurance runner Ben Blowes embarked on. I was lucky to have ran one of the days with Ben where I completed my first ever marathon - A day I will not ever forget.  

This later inspired me to make running part of my lifestyle for which it has given so many benefits and something I’ll forever be grateful of.

I am privileged to be able to run my first official half marathon on behalf of Toms Trust and I very much look forward to supporting such a great cause, and being part of the experience.

Each year in the East of England approximately 40 children are diagnosed with a brain tumour. £1000 provides a child and their family with mental health support for one year, we are therefore fundraising to support all 40 children for one year and aim to raise £40,0000.2021 is our tenth anniversary year and we have 100 runners in the Cambridge Half Marathon Event. Together they will raise enough money to support all 40 children diagnosed in one year in the East of England. A brain tumour is a devastating diagnosis and one which requires vital mental health support from the point of diagnosis for the child and their family. This immediate support will change the life and outcome of the child.
