Story
💙 Running 100km for Alexander 💙
My 16-year-old cousin, Alexander, is bravely fighting Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare and aggressive bone cancer that mainly affects children and teenagers.
After 30 days in hospital, he was finally diagnosed on 6th August. By then, the tumour had burst through his right tibia into his knee, leaving him in constant pain. He’s now enduring 18 weeks of chemotherapy, waiting for MRI results before surgery, then facing another 10 weeks of treatment, and possibly radiotherapy. Through it all, he’s shown unbelievable courage and strength.
Ewing’s Sarcoma is incredibly rare and often hard to detect early. More awareness and funding are desperately needed so others don’t have to face what Alexander, and too many others are going through. I also lost my close friend Kate to bone cancer in March 2022, so this cause means even more to me.
This November, I’ll be running in total 100km to raise awareness and funds for earlier detection and better treatments.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps bring hope to families fighting this battle.
This one’s for Alexander, and for Kate 💙
Goal: £1500
