Encephalitis International is the only non-profit of any size anywhere in the world providing direct support and information to people affected by encephalitis (brain inflammation), raising awareness, and furthering our understanding of the condition through research.

Story

When I was 14 I was hospitalised and diagnosed with Encephalitis. Encephalitis is when the brain becomes inflamed and can commonly be life-threatening. After a few weeks of being hospitalised, I was able to walk out with minor side effects. One thing though is that I had to regain strength in my arms and legs so I could walk again. This is why I am running this 10k so I can show how far I've come since then and raise money and awareness for the cause.

I ran a 10k last year to raise money for the same cause, and I am now running three 10k's to continue my support.

Any donations are appreciated.
