Story
I have experienced so many lows during my life and at times hit such dark places where the thought taking my own life has felt like the only option. Thankfully each and every time I've crawled out of the darkness to live and love life. It's an ever changing picture, but slowly I've managed to know that even the darkest times pass.
Since surviving cancer in 2014, I have endeavoured to live as authentically as I can and this includes being and talking openly and honestly about my own mental health with the hope that it may encourage others to do the same.
Suicide is all too often a permanent solution to a temporary problem
As such this year I am proud to be running Brighton Marathon for Campaign Against Living Miserably.
CALM is leading a movement against suicide, the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK. Anyone can hit crisis point. CALM run a free and confidential helpline and webchat 7 hours a day, 7 days a week for anyone who needs to talk about lifes problems.
