We are a local urological cancer charity set up to raise awareness & support patients & families at our Care Centre in Ward 209, ARI. We are fundraising to raise £2.5M to open a SURE Unit at ARI (formerly RDC). Urological cancers are some of the most curable cancers if detected early enough.

Story

Folks

Welcome to my Calum Grows a Mo fundraising page!

For those of you who have never heard of Movember, it is a global charity movement where men embrace their hairy top lips and commit to growing a moustache during the month of November in order to raise funds for and awareness of Prostate Cancer. The rules are pretty simple - you must be clean shaven on the 1st of November and then you see where you get to by the 30th!

I have decided to raise funds for uCan, a charity based in the North East of Scotland that raises funds for the 5 urological cancers - prostate, bladder, kidney, testicular and cancer of the penis.  In the UK alone, 36,000 men are diagnosed with Prostate Cancer, let alone the others listed above.  This is a cause close to my heart because, as many of you may be aware, my Dad recently passed away due to the illness having given his stubborn best to beat it for the last 5 years.

I appreciate that this donation request doesn't involve great personal danger or hardship, as many others you may receive this year will.  However, in exchange I can promise to post regular updates on this site showing how ridiculous/epic I look over the coming month!

Thank you in advance for your donations, however big or small they may.

Cheers, Calum
