The Evans Trust - Trek to Canty Bay 2009 · 26 September 2009 ·

After buying Canty Bay with his own money W.E. "Pa" Evans, the first Scoutmaster of the 6th Edinburgh Troop, left the properties of Canty Bay in Trust. The overall aim of the Trust is to promote the Christian growth of young people through an increasing variety of groups using the facility.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am participating in a sponsored walk to raise money towards a new building at Canty Bay, home away from home for the 66th Leith Scout Group.

As a new Beaver scout I will be meeting the older sections in North Berwick and doing the final leg of the walk out to the Bay with them.

Although I have just started in Beavers I already love visiting Canty Bay and am the fourth generation of my family to be involved with the Charlotte Chapel Scouts (and the Bay itself).  I am excited to join in and hope to be able to help the Evan's Trust a little on the way to their final goal.

Thanks again for your time.
