No more preparation. The 100 mile cycle starts early tomorrow morning. Hope it's not too wet!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In June this year I am taking part in two Sussex-based events. STOP PRESS - new event added!
On the 4th I am swimming 3.8Km down the River Arun from Ford to Littlehampton. http://www.rawenergypursuits.co.uk/events/river-arun-ironman-swim/
No, I've never done anything like that before but the chance to swim in the Arun is one I can not pass up. June 4 is the day in 1989 my dad died of a heart attack at the age of 56.
UPDATE - finished the swim in 1 hour 23 minutes 21 seconds.
The second event is the British Heart Foundation's South Downs Way cycle on 25 June.

I've picked the slightly softer distance of 65 miles for the Saturday, but only so that I can finish the other 35 miles on the Sunday, which would have been my dad's birthday.
4 years ago I was warned about my weight and rising blood pressure. My weight loss and increased fitness since then is to designed to look after my heart.
Raising money for the BHF means I can help others at the same time.
Someone pointed out that to make this a triathlon I needed to add some running! I know that since an operation on my knee I could not run a marathon. Shirley has entered the 2011 Chichester Challenge - a 42 km walk on 10 July and I will be joining her.
