Story
Ashmount School in Loughborough caters for children with a variety of special needs and disabilities. The school was recently graded "Outstanding" by Ofsted and the staff there do an amazing job. Our son, Harry, who has autism, started at Ashmount in 2009 and has thrived there due to the dedicated staff and opportunities made available to him. However, such opportunities - and the equipment needed to cater for children with such wide-ranging special needs - cost money, so the Friends of Ashmount group was set up last year, to raise funds to supplement the school's usual budget. I recently became a parent governor of Ashmount and want to do my bit to support the school.
During 2011, I will be covering a distance equivalent to Lands End to John O'Groats and back again!! To achieve this I will be running 874 miles and rowing 1,406,566 metres!
I hope you will support my cause and help to raise funds for the pupils of Ashmount School.
