Paris Marathon 2014 · 6 April 2014 ·

Centre 33 was established in 1981 & supports & empowers young people, aged 8-25, through a variety of free and confidential services, which include one-to-one support, counselling, advocacy, group work and respite activities. We work on a self-referral basis and we often respond to complex needs.

Story

Many thanks to everyone who supported us to run the Paris marathon - it's very much appreciated, and a HUGE thank you to those who have already donated to the Young Carer's Project.

I am pleased to say that we all completed the marathon, in varying degrees of exhaustion, and as you can see from the photo we certainly put every last drop of energy into finishing!

The Young Carers Project provides an invaluable support network to under 19's who care and support a family member with a long-term illness, disability, mental health problem or who misuse drugs or alcohol.  The Project enables young carers to manage and cope with the responsibility of being a carer, while also helping them achieve their own personal development.  This Project helps many families in Cambridgeshire and is a truly worthwhile cause.  Please donate lots and lots and lots and lots of MONEY! - Cambridge Consultants will match any funds we raise, so be generous!

The Team is as follows:

Manon van Thorenburg (the captain and instigator of this dreadful idea of running a marathon)

Lucie Browning
