Story

Thank you for taking your time and visiting my Justgiving Page!

On the 4th of November this year I will Be Running the Edinburgh Men’s 10K in memory of Dougie Coull (or as I knew him Uncle Dougie), who sadly lost his fight with Bowel Cancer this year. I have many fond memories of him, my favourite being the time me my dad and Dougie walked up Ben Chonzie. That day didn’t really start until we reached Dunfimiline where Auntie Elaine cooked up a 5 start breakfast for us all we then left for Chonzie, After reaching Ben Chonzie we started getting ready to walk it, me and my dad looked like we could have been ready to walk up a small slope, this was the opposite of Dougie who was geared up and looked ready for Everest, his bag had it all, Food, water, spare clothes, a GPS and loads of cool gadgets that looked like they were from the nineties. i managed to keep up with him the whole time weather that was because he was walking slow for me or if i was just really good at it is debatable, i like to think it was that i was as fast as him. We eventually reached the top which he awarded us all with a chocolate bar, which helped me get back down the hill as well! I have many fond memory’s of Dougie!
