"Compleation" - finishing an entire round of the munros

Having seen all the amazing work done by my friend Matt (https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/matt-walks) I have been inspired to commit to donating £10 for every munro that I summit to Social Bite, a charity focused on ending homelessness and providing food for those most vulnerable in society.

I climbed my first munro not long after I moved to Edinburgh - now almost 5 years ago - and as I have slowly done more and more the possibility of climbing them all has gone from being a small dream to a real goal of mine. I had been thinking of ways that my efforts could have a positive impact, and by doing this I have something to aim for beyond just personal achievement.

I have always been lucky to never have to worry about food or shelter, but unfortunately there are people without access to either. Social Bite distribute over 180,000 items of food and hot drinks every year to
the country’s most vulnerable people. People in a situation of homelessness and food poverty are invited into their chain of sandwich shops to enjoy handmade food and tasty coffee throughout the day. They also aim to employ 1 in 4 people who have struggled with homelessness or extreme barriers to employment.


A donation of £10 could provide up to 2 meals for those in need.

This will of course be a fairly lengthy process - it will take me a while to climb them all - but hopefully I can encourage regular support and donations. As at April 2024 I have climbed 97 of the munros
