Story

Our story-

Over recent months our family was blissfully happy we had a little one on the way and everything was very exciting we had names picked out and had a gender reveal organised to find out what we were going to have. Then disaster struck recently as on the 3rd of July my partner had a very small amount of bleeding which we really weren't concerned about as quite a few women bleed in pregnancy  ,she was checked out at the hospital for precaution but during the tests and after having a scan we found out the devastating news that our baby didn't have a heartbeat and had been that way for several weeks , we had a second opinion and that was confirmed through that. Our lives absolutely shattered they still feel shattered now and will feel that way for the rest of our lives. We may slowly start to heal as we have to for our other children but its the most painful and numbing feeling you can ever feel in your whole life. Through family we found out that we were going to have a boy and decided to name him what he was going to be called which was Jensen. My partner was given a tablet to help labour come on as she was halfway through the pregnancy at 20 weeks. We went home and had to go back 2 days later

On the 5th of July at 12.05pm Jensen-Wyatt Koby Thurston was born weighing just 75g. He was the tiniest little baby and it has broken us , the unfairness of it all has broken us too as this isnt the first time this has happened we lost a baby in November last year and we've lost Jensen this year we've lost 2 children and words don't describe how we feel, will this happen again? Will it keep happening we don't know and god forbid it doesn't , we can't even try to explain how we feel because you can't and won't understand unless you've been through it and I hope to god you don't have to go through it because it's soul crushing. During the stay in hospital we were able to spend time with him, we held him and he had an official naming blessing which felt so important because he was born ,he was alive, he was/is important and he was and will always be our baby boy.

The charity I'm raising money for by participating in the 10k gear is theresas Tiny treasures which has helped so many parents and continues to do so free of charge. She makes special keepsakes of babies lost through miscarriage and still birth. Whether it's photography, or moulds of hands and feet. There are so many things we received including  a necklace , moulds of his hands, moulds of his hands and feet and separate moulds put into a frame along with countless other things. what she does is so important and I can't emphasize this enough. If it wasn't for her we wouldn't have anything no keepsakes personal to him so we need to raise as much money as possible as she does this and it's all ran on donations I couldn't bear it if she could no longer do the wonderful things she does for other parents going through such a traumatic experience it would be heart breaking.

Thankyou for listening to our story if you would be kind enough to donate , it would mean a lot not just to us but countless others who may go through the same thing.
