Story

Story

Four dads against the Étape Loch Ness - 106k, 66 miles, and at least one very big hill.

Who are the seagulls?

If you'd ever seen our children gathered around a picnic table when the snacks are brought out you'd understand. Seagulls grew out of a group of mums with snack devouring toddlers and the nickname of their WhatsApp group.

It wouldn't occur to dads to make pals so thanks to our wives and some cajoling we found a great group.

Seagulls cycling club is a grandiose name for four dads of varying fitness levels, one of whome didn't have a bike at the start of this mad cap plan, but all of them needed a challenge and a purpose to get a bit fitter post lockdown.
