St Joseph's Hospice in Thornton, Merseyside, opened its doors in 1974 and has held a special place in the heart of our community ever since. Today, the hospice offers high-quality, professional end of life nursing care and family support services within a peaceful woodland environment.

Story

On Sunday 24th October, I am running the Liverpool Rock N Roll Half Marathon for St Josephs Hospice, in memory of my Nan Christina Mckeown, who passed away at the Hospice in January 2019.

Seeing first hand the brilliant work they do, and the care and compassion they give to those in need like my Grandmother, I want to be able to give something back to them, as a way of saying thank you for their support for me and my family in 2019.

By raising some money for the Hospice will hopefully give back to those in need at the centre. Also, I couldn't think of a better motivation to do the run than my Nan Tina, still missed by us all dearly.
