I'm racing at the Aintree Countryside Day on 29 October to raise money for the Countryside Alliance Foundation. The charity does amazing work focusing on the remedial and educational benefits of the countryside. Projects include offering counselling to breast cancer sufferers through fishing retreats, and bringing the countryside, fishing and falconry into the classroom.

I'll be riding over 1m 5 furlongs at Aintree's famous course. I know I've done (2) charity races before, but this one is a mile further than my previous ones... so I'll have to be fitter, a better jockey, and stay onboard for longer!! I'm putting in far too many early mornings than I'd like, and pushing my fitness. Now all I need is a horse!

Any donations are hugely, hugely appreciated, both by myself and the foundation. And of course, the more the merrier on the day itself! (There are lots of decent races, too. And sheep and things!) xxxx
