Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my page!

This is one of my hardest challenges to date and I’m delighted to be supporting QCCC in my endeavours.

I will be competing in the Edinburgh Duathlon on Sunday 6th March 2022. This event consists of a 5k run followed by a 25k cycle followed by another 5k run.

No easy feat for a Sunday morning!

Why QCCC? - Queensferry Churches Care in the Community is a charity in South Queensferry which holds a special place in my heart. My wee Granny would attend events at their support centre The Haven regularly during her early struggles with Parkinson’s and Dementia.

In addition to this, they provide a vast array of services to the vulnerable in Queensferry and the surrounding areas. Such as befriending, day trips and various events.

Where does my donation go?

£5 Helps pay for a treat like a visit to a local garden centre or coffee shop, for a cup of coffee, a slice of cake and a chat

£10 Helps support a trip out to the shops or a local landmark - a change of scenery with some fresh air and a catch up

£25 Helps support a day care at home visit, reducing isolation and providing a lifeline for older people and their carers

I believe these services are poignant as we’ve endured this pandemic!

Any donations would be appreciated and goes to a superb local service!
