Bramshaw 72 Hole Challenge · 19 June 2023

Founded in 2014, Dementia Support is a young, unique charity that provides complete dementia services in one community-based hub, known as Sage House. We provide support and information to anyone wanting to know more about how to live well with dementia, both pre and post diagnosis.

Story

Last year I took part in the 72 Hole challenge for charity and I walked over 45,000 steps, 22 miles and burned over 7000 calories in one day. this year I will be attempting to do the same on the 19th June 2023, but I will be carrying my clubs the whole day instead of using 2 electric trolleys.

Dementia is now the leading cause of death in the UK. It’s a devastating and complex condition. Every 3 minutes somebody will develop dementia. There is no cure. There are 900,000 people with dementia in the UK. We at Dementia Support are there for all those who need our help. We reduce loneliness, give the best quality care and provide hope, supporting the whole family.

Last year Sage House had over 2900 Day Break sessions with 158 clients. this includes 467 activity sessions through out the year. they also managed to gain over 4500 wayfinding contacts. they have 1668 Wayfinding customers with 863 of those being new in the last year!
