I have decided to solo cycle the 5369km from Quebec on the East coast of Canada, through the prairies of Manitoba and Seskatchewan, over the mountain peaks of British Columbia, to Vancouver on Canada's West coast. This trip will take an estimated 3 months to complete, and will take me all the way from the Atlantic Ocean, to the Pacific coast; an equivalent distance of London to New York. I will be camping in Canada's wilderness along the way and hope to make it before the winter snow kicks and the nights get unbearably cold!!

This cycle is in memory of my Dad, who passed away from cancer last July. The cycle will mark one year since his death, and I think represents his attitude of resilience, fortitude, and positivity. After the shock and grief of the last year, I think this is an essential mental and physical challenge that I am determined to overcome.
