‘Better Care, Healthier Lives’. We are the charity that exists to support St George’s hospitals and the communities they serve. Every day, our work makes a real difference to patients, their families and friends and the staff who care for them.

Story

We’re a group of St George’s clinicians dedicated to improving care for Cancer patients and their families. We’re really excited to be running to raise money for the St George’s Cancer Appeal!  We’re a busy, large and growing cancer centre, taking pride in putting the needs of patients, carers and our local population first.

We hope to spend the money you donate to this appeal across four main projects – specifically a bespoke Brain Cancer Unit, supporting Cancer Survivors across South West London, supporting Children’s Cancer and supporting the newly launched Rapid Diagnostics Clinic at St George’s.

Fenella is also running for a personal reason, she said: 'Myself and my daughter Imogen will be running together on the day to thank the St George's Brain Cancer surgery unit. My brother in law had surgery with the unit 3 times over the last few years, giving him many extra years of good quality life which we will always be thankful for. Our family is so grateful for the amazing skill and expertise of this department, and we hope that your support and contributions will help future patients and families receive the same excellent care.'
