Aspire Channel Swim 2017 11/09/17 - 04/12/17 · 4 December 2017 ·

Every two hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. It can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help, supporting spinal cord injured people from injury to independence.

Story

As well as running ten miles on the 8th October I am trying a new challenge over the next twelve weeks. I'm taking on the Aspire Channel Swim 2017, swimming the distance of the Channel over 12 weeks to raise money for Aspire. That's 1770 lengths of my local pool!

Every eight hours someone is paralysed by a Spinal Cord Injury and Aspire provides the essential equipment, advice, housing and grants that spinal cord injured people need to live their lives independently. All donations make a big difference.
