BLOG (updated 1 March 2010)

Now Christmas and New Year are over it's back to the fundraising!! Charity Tea Tasting was a success and I raised £65!!! Thanks to all that came x

So I am climbing Kilimanjaro the highest freestanding mountain in the world, yikes!!! I can hear you say though, if Chris Moyles can do it...

I will be embarking on this challenge in aid of the Beatson Pebble Appeal. This is a £10M campaign to raise funds to build the Beatson Translational Research Centre, a Centre for Cancer Research in Scotland.

The Research Centre will convert basic cancer research into real improvements in treatments for patients. It will focus upon especially common tumours, those that cause the most deaths in Scotland such as endocrine (breast, prostate and ovarian); smoking related (lung, throat, oral) and gastrointestinal cancer.

As some of you are aware we lost Jamie's (my partner) Mum quite recently to lung cancer so this cause (as it will be for many of you) is close to my heart.

I have the blister plasters at the ready, but the I have a mountain to climb before I get out to Tanzania, as I have pledged to raise £4,000 for the appeal!!

So. . . PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE dig deep and make a donation!! Also, you know me- always skint so just give as much as you can afford, every little helps. Also remember the gift aid!

I will be organising things as the year goes by and I will try and blog what I have been up to as much as possible below.
