Epilepsy Wales exists to support adults and children with epilepsy, their families and carers. We want to raise awareness, dispel stigma and discrimination and to support people with epilepsy to fulfill their potential. We offer fieldworker support, training services, helpline advice and meet-ups.

Story

Ten years ago I had brain surgery that changed my life. It made me the person I am today and helped me achieve so many things that people take for granted. i suffered from epilepsy from the age of 9 and it controlled my life as well as my family's lives. Epilepsy Wales is a charity that guided us through the hard times and helped me understand what it was I had. With my epilepsy not being controlled with the medication I made a big decision to have the operation that did and still has changed my life. And now that it's the 10 year anniversary I would like to thank them for everything they've done and what better way than being so proud of my scar and by showing it off, because without my scar I wouldn't be me!
