Candle of Hope Ceremony is deeply moving and is a central part of Relay for Life Plymouth.

As sun sets, the decorated bags are lit and placed around the track. Durning the ceremony there will be readings, music and our wall of fame (photographs of our loved ones we have lost to cancer). We take time to remember those who have passed away, celebrate our survivors and honor those fighting cancer.

To conclude the ceremony, there will be a silent lap(led by our youth team) who will lead the way around the track where we walk together in a quiet reflection honoring everyone represented by the glowing bags.

The candle of hope ceremony is considered to be the most emotional and powerful part of Relay for Life.
