The Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice supports children with life shortening conditions and their families. They currently support more than 185 families and could support many more if they had the funds. They need to raise £3.8 million each year to continue this support with almost all of their funding coming from the community.
I have the privilege of knowing some of the charities volunteers and it is through them that I have learnt of the amazing positive contribution that this charity gives to families in their greatest time of need. Because of this I have decided to use my next challenge as a way of raising money for this fantastic cause.
In April 2017 I will be setting off with my Nephew, Davis, to circumnavigate the UK mainland in an open “Canadian” canoe.
The Journey of around 2500 miles is a massive feat of endurance. It will take us though many dangerous tide races, over falls and whirlpools. We will have to contend with the British weather and many open crossings where planning, good judgment and courage will be needed to succeed.
Thank you for supporting Forget Me Not.
