Every year, the Yorkshire Regiment Association have to find around £80,000 to help care for those have previously served with the regiment.

These cases, include such things as ex soldiers, who have proudly and bravely served, having to ask for help with financing home adaptations to help them cope with life changing injuries, or for money because of severe financial or housing difficulty.

I want to do my bit to help.

I intend to raise money & to support our local army regiment, The Yorkshire Regiment,  by walking the 192 mile trek from Robin Hoods bay, across North Yorkshire, the Lake District, to finally finish in St Bees on the West Coast. 

I plan to do this in just 5 days, less than half the time it normally takes. I also intend to walk in in reverse, meaning the most challenging section of the walk is at the end, making it even more of a challenge.

The trek will take place on 3rd June 2018, in memory of Private Gregg Thomas Stone, from 3rd Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment, who was killed in Afghanistan on Sunday 3 June 2012 whilst heroically trying to rescue a kidnapped police officer.
