Kiltwalk Edinburgh 2018 · 16 September 2018 ·

Over 1.5 million in the UK have endometriosis and the impact of the disease is for some devastating, yet diagnosis takes on average 8 years. With your donations we are turning this around, raising awareness, providing support and information, supporting research, and campaigning for change.

Story

Hey friends! This year has been a bit crazy, as some of you know, in January I was told I had a pretty giant ovarian cyst, which grew to nearly a foot long from my rib cage to the pit of my stomach and weighing nearly 5 kilos. I had it removed in March, and one of my ovaries with it. Two months later, I've been told there is a fair amount of endometriosis on my one remaining ovary, an incurable illness which affects 1 in 10 women. It can create other cysts, seriously affect fertility, and cause a lot of pain.

So me ( and little Dachshund Hugo) have decided to brave the Kiltwalk in Edinburgh on September 16th. (Both of us in kilts, naturally, and I'm sure he will spend most of his time in his little doggy bag!)

If you could spare a couple of quid for this rubbish disease, it would be greatly appreciated, as the cause of it is still unknown, and cannot really be prevented.

I will supply the dog biscuits for Hugo, you supply the donations for Endo!

Lots of love!
Cara (& Hoogs!)
