Story

LUPUS UK is the national charity supporting people with the autoimmune disease lupus. In 2015 my dad passed away from lupus shortly after being hospitalised and diagnosed with the chronic condition. I have since started working in clinical education for a global lupus education initiative and it's highlighted the myriad of debilitating health issues associated with this disease and also how difficult it can be to treat and manage. We didn't know about LUPUS UK when my dad was unwell, but I hope raising money for this charity can help others in future. LUPUS UK have set a goal of 31 miles throughout October but I've decided to make my life more difficult and run 75 miles.
