We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

Thank you for visiting my my JustGiving page.

I'm doing a duathlon in April which for those of you who dont know is running, cycling and running again!  I'm doing this in memory of our friend Ollie and raising money for Teenage Canacer Trust.

Every day in the UK, six teenagers are diagnosed with cancer but cancer doesn’t stop these teenagers being teenagers. Teenage Cancer Trust exists to improve the quality of life and chances of survival for young people with cancer.

  • It costs between £500,000 and £3,500,000 depending on the nature, size and location to build and equip a new specialist teenange cancer unit.
  • They fund frontline staff such as Youth Support Co-ordinators and Nurse Consultants.
  • And make sure units include everything young people need to be kept fully occupied and entertained during their stay - whether it's computers, TVs, juke boxes or simply a pool table.

They don't receive ANY government funding, so rely on voluntary donations from people like you.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.

So please dig deep and donate now, every donation is welcome! Even if its spare change...feel free to come find me and I'll add it to the TCT collection tin :)
