My mum , Wendy, traumatically lost her leg 5 years ago this year. After not thinking she would survive  she has become stronger and can now walk (although limitedly) with sticks. She is now highly reliant on her family (principally me) after being very Independant and capable. Her pain and suffering has been hellish. Her phantom limb pains and heartache at not being mobile has been terrible. But I love her and cherish each day. I just want to support a charity than provides so much for amputees.
