Story
Nottingham Street Pastors are a group of people who love Nottingham and want to show love and kindness to those who need it the most.
Every Friday and Saturday night, a group of volunteers take to the streets of Nottingham between the hours of 10pm and 3am to care for, love, support, protect, listen to and encourage vulnerable people using the city for pleasure. Whether it be an intoxicated young girl who needs to be helped home, talking down a fight, giving first aid or just listening to someone who is lost and burdened, the street pastors are there to help.
By providing a service as basic and practical as giving free flip flops to girls (who's heels were't as comfortable as they first thought) to stop glass cutting their feet, or giving basic first aid, they have saved Nottingham hospitals £2 million a year!
However, despite the enormous impact they have, their funding has been withdrawn and without support they will no longer be able to provide this service to our city.
Please give what you can.
Thank you, Cara xx
