A cardiac arrest is when the heart stops beating. CPR and the use of a defibrillator before the ambulance arrives doubles the chance of survival.

Story

#ChristianErikson is living proof that CPR and Defibrillators are the best combination to save a life. Unfortunately though not every CPR attempt is as successful as Christian's.

On the 21th August 15 teams will each summit one of the Welsh 3000+ft mountains in celebration of the life of Duncan Macauley a much loved family man who despite receiving CPR, sadly died on one of our Welsh Mountains.

Duncan's friends, Paul, Alun and Gary along with Duncan's family are now actively supporting the Keep the Beats campaign and are fundraising for defibrillators for the local area. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿⛰️

To mark this special event, keep the Beats has designed a special logo for "Duncan's Welsh 3000" challenge which will be placed on all cabinet purchased from your donations to this event.

As a Cardiology/ Keep the Beats team we feel privaledge to be involved and be one of the 15 teams in this amazing challenge and would like to raise enough funds to purchase at least one cabinet. We hope with your support this will be possible.

Please donate as much as you can. Just like every heart beat, every penny counts. Thank you ❤️

CPR, is such a simple skill to learn but could save a life. Learn CPR today 👇www.awyrlas.org.uk/keepthebeats
