Midlands Air Ambulance

With your help, the money we raise will help to transform the lives of the people they care for and give them the very best opportunities to continue and/ or maintain the essential services they provide for everyone.

We are a groups of colleagues, with differing experience levels, undertaking a gruelling cross country walk or a punishing cycling challenge on July 11th 2014 . Leading up to the event the whole team has given up many hours of their time to plan, prepare, train and be ready for the challenge

The Walk Challenge

The main walk is completing the ‘Welsh 1,000's Challenge’ which requires walkers to summit all 5 of the mountains in Snowdonia, Wales that are over 1,000m (3,280ft) within the space of 24 hours without using any form of transport. The length of this walk is approximately 21 miles with 9,500ft of overall ascent and includes finishing on the summit of Snowdon. This challenge is tough an will take at least 12 hours to complete.

The Challenge is made up of three sections:

Section 1 - Carnedd Llewelyn (1,064m) & Carnedd Dafydd (1,044m)

Section 2 - Glyder Fawr (1,001m)

Section 3 - Garnedd Ugain (1,065m) & Snowdon (1,085m)

The Bike Challenge

The bike challenge is a 106 mile cycle route with 7,000 ft of ascent starting at Carillion HQ,Birch Street, Wolverhampton and finishing at the base of Snowdon, and will take around 10 hours to complete

We would be incredibly grateful if you would sponsor the group for this event and if you could Gift Aid your sponsorship it would be worth even more to our chosen charities.

Your sponsorship would give a huge boost to our chosen Charities and will make a real difference to the people who depend on the essential care, support, services and research they provide

Thank you so much for your support.

We will think of you proudly as we pound the footpaths and grind through the gears!
