Carina's 4 Hour Hula Hoop Challenge - Raising funds for Research

Carina Cruz is raising money for East & North Hertfordshire Hospitals' Charity

Hula Hoop for Research - A 4 hour hula hoop challenge · 20 May 2021

We enhance the care at Lister, New QEII, Hertford County and MVCC by funding projects above the remit of the NHS. Projects include providing the latest equipment, making improvements to the inside and outside spaces, funding support services and items to make being in hospital that much easier.

Story

I am fundraising for the East and North Hertfordshire hospitals charity to help raise funds for Research in the Trust.

The month of May is always special for me as a research
nurse because this is the time when we celebrate Nurse’s day (May 12) and Clinical Trials Day (May 20).

COVID has challenged our healthcare professionals beyond our
imagination.  COVID has highlighted the importance of research and as the Lead Research Nurse for the Trust, I want to further promote the important role of the research nurse.

I have given myself a challenge and I will be  hula hooping non-stop for 4 hours on May 20, Thursday between 10.00 to 14.00 by the ENHT Charity Corner on Level 3 at the Lister Hospital.

Your donation and sponsorship will play a huge part in
helping promote the importance of research in improving and enhancing patient care and experience.

The charity supports the four hospitals within the East and North Hertfordshire Trust- Lister Hospital, The New QEII, Hertford County and Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, helping them to go above and beyond for patients and their loved ones. The charity funds the purchase of new specialist equipment, extra staff training, research and projects to enhance patient experience. You make the difference! Donate today!
