As you can see I am doing this ride in memory of my great friend Chris Boakes Aka 'The Dude'. Chris passed in 2010 after becoming ill to a heart condition called Cardiomyopathy.

To anyone who knew Chris he was a happy, laid back guy who had a really positive outlook on life. I like to believe he will be looking down on me giggling away at my stupidity for signing up for the ride this year.

Me, my husband Steven and our best friend Rob signed up to the Night BHF London To Brighton bike ride last year, we enjoyed it so much we thought we'd try out the off road one this year. The biking bug caught on and 9 of us are doing it in total. We have been training hard and having such a fab cycling gang aka 'The Misfits' have also had a lot of laughs along the way.

If you could make a donation i would be SO grateful. Not only to improve research into Cardiomyopathy but to ALL heart conditions.
