In September 2019, a group of us, took part in team CHAMP , (Charlie House Ascends Machu Picchu) , to help realise the dream of a specialist support centre in the North East, to assist babies, children, and young people with complex disabilities and life-limiting conditions as well
as supporting their families.

Charlie House launched The Big Build Appeal in November 2018 to build this wonderful centre. The project needs £8 million not only to build but to also run, in its opening months. It will provide a number of facilities including short breaks, day care, palliative and end and life care and so much more.  The centre will have children's bedrooms, family accommodation, soft play areas, sensory room and spa pool. It will become
the new home for the office staff  allowing them to work on site. 

There is currently no facility like this in the North East. Children with chronic or life limiting conditions and their families, currently endure an often difficult and stressful journey to the Central belt to benefit from the kind of support the Charlie House Centre will provide.

The CHAMP CHALLENGE aims to raise some of the funds towards this amazing cause and ANY donation is hugely appreciated.
