Carl's Desert Warrior Challenge page

Desert Warrior Challenge · 24 April 2015
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For those who were aware, I along with many others lost either a son, brother, partner or friend in Richard Hodgson when he sadly found that life was too hard for him to carry on and took his own life at the end of January.
Rich and I were as close as brothers and has been a close friend of mine from the age of 12, growing up through school, college, university and life as a whole, supporting each other all along, whether it would be work related, loved one advice, going to the gym or just a coffee and a catch up.
I moved to the UAE over 2 years ago but we still kept in regular contact over that time and always had a close bond regardless of the distance
As he always took pride in his health and staying fit and active, I have felt it was fitting to take part in the Desert Warrior Challenge - details below - which is a 10km obstacle run in Abu Dhabi, not only in his honour but to hopefully help raise awareness of depression but how they effect even the most vibrant and lively people through life.

I will be donating the funds raised to C.A.L.M of which the website details are below, as we have seem in 2014 depression is a very serious and very real illness that has already taking the lives of some well known and loved social figures, so the more awareness and support we can give hopefully we can see the numbers lower over 2015 and beyond.
