My father was looked after by the Dr's and nurses at this hospital and I know that they looked after him the best they could, despite the fact they were dealing with a new virus. 

The staff are under extreme pressure to cope with COVID-19 patients and having to deal with thier own mental health, working long hours with limited supply of PPE and watching people suffer and die. 

Every time I phoned to find out how my Dad was, they were extremely polite, helpful, compassionate and kind. 

They are the country's true hero's and I hope to make a small difference with any contributions. 

The Mission of Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Hospital Charity - Three Wishes, is to further improve the quality of patient care through the improvement of services, purchasing of medical equipment and enhancing the patient environment and experience. Within the 'Three Wishes Charity', there are the 'Big Eight Funds' - Patient Wish / Children and Babies / Women's / Heart and Lungs / Cancer Care / Fertility / Minds and Memories / Wrightington. This allows our amazing supporters to donate or fundraise to the area of their choice.
