My brother Tom Died on 25/03/20, right at the start of the first national lockdown. This came as a complete shock to all of us since Tom was only 32 and despite having been unwell for a few days said he was feeling better only the day before he died. He has left a massive hole in many people's lives, not least my Mum and Dad and his Fiancee Sarah-Louise.
This grief has been the worst thing I have ever experienced, summoning the will to do even the most mundane of daily tasks has sometimes felt overwhelming. I have had therapy from a couple of sources. It's going to be a lifelong journey of learning to live without him.
I want to do something proactive. I want to raise money for CRUSE to help them continue to support bereaved people up and down the nation.
According to a YouGov poll, 13% of Britons know someone who has died due to complications from Covid-19. The need is greater than ever and yet charities are struggling.
Cruse is United Kingdom's largest bereavement charity, which provides free care and bereavement counseling to people suffering from grief.
Any and all donations will be very gratefully received.
