Hull & East Yorkshire Medical Research Centre (Daisy Appeal) opened in 2008. The charity built the Jack Brignall PET-CT Scanning Centre in 2014. In 2024 we built a Molecular Imaging Research Centre to produce PET CT tracers. We are fundraising for a £3m digital scanner to help save more lives.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.

Last year at the age of 44 I was diagnosed with Non hodgkins lymphoma, the nature of this page is to try and give something back for the great care I received from the Queens oncology unit,Castle hill hospital.

I've now finished my treatment and feel fine, upon going back to work, myself and some colleagues at Reckitt Benckiser, thought it might be a good idea to do a sponsored walk (Wolds Way Walk) on behalf of two causes that I thought worthwhile,I've decided to split the money between the Queens oncology unit,Castle hill hospital (make donations payable to:Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS General Charitable Charity trust Charity Number is 1052035) ,and the Daisy Appeal (make payable to: Jane at The Daisy Appeal, Hertford Building, University of Hull, Cottingham Road, Hull, HU6 7RX, Charity Number : 1095652) which is hoping to buy two PET/CT scanners, which will help with early detection of cancers.

All donations are welcome.

P.S. You don't realise how much you need these people, until it happens to YOU.
