Sadly in 2008 my Grandad lost his life to Dementia, at the time, when as a family, we were dealing with my Grandads diagnosis, we were not aware of the amazing support that Dementia UK provides not only for those diagnosed with Dementia and related diseases but also their families.

This will be my second Great North Run in honour of my Grandad and it’s fills me with huge pride that I’m able to run in his memory.

Please give as much as you can, every penny donated will help Dementia UK continue to provide support and expended the reach of the amazing Admiral Nurses, who’s expertise and support is invaluable for those who are living with Dementia and their families.
