Dreamflight's aim is to take children with a serious illness or disability to Orlando for the holiday of a lifetime visiting the theme parks. To bring some fun and joy to these children whose illnesses cause pain, distress and disruption to their lives.

Story

So here it goes.... on 17th April 2019 I braved my fears and was strapped on top of a vintage bi plane. This bi plane took off... flew around... went up high... sharp turns.... all with me strapped on top 😂 I’ve never screamed so much in my entire life. This was all to raise some money towards the incredible charity that is DREAMFLIGHT! This is a wonderful charity where 192 sick and disabled children are whisked off to Orlando Florida for 10 days on a holiday of an absolute life time. As if the stories I’d heard weren’t enough to make me want to contribute to this amazing charity, I was incredibly lucky to be invited on the actual trip in October 2019!!! I was one of 21 cabin crew who flew out a Boeing 747 jet full of excited children, medical professionals, VIC escorts, camera crew, patrons etc... We were able to spend the entire 10 days in one of the 12 groups. I was placed into the Scooby Doo group which was a fantastic group of incredible people and children from Northern Ireland. I can’t even describe the trip in one word... it left me absolutely speechless. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left. We formed friendships for life. The children formed friendships for life. I managed to take a young girl who had never been on a ride or a rollercoaster on a grand total of ELEVEN rides throughout the week, we laughed, we cried, we got soaked through on the water flumes and these are the moments neither of us will ever forget. Seeing the pure happiness and love these children had on the trip for each other was just unforgettable.

SO. I’m doing it all over again. However, this time round instead of just flying around the airfield... there are going is going to be a LOOP involved. Yep. A high, upside down, strapped to the top of an airplane loop. How I’m going to manage this I don’t know. I’ve never been so scared the first time round so this time should be even more interesting.... but to see those smiles on the VICs faces once again, id do absolutely anything!!!!

Every penny goes a very long way.

£30 would pay for ice creams in every park for 7 days for a VIC!!

£100 pays for the cost for TWO VICs to stay at a london hotel the night before their departure to Orlando!

£100 enables a whole group of children to receive a dvd/memory stick full of photos and their video of the trip (and trust me there’s some cracking photos on there!!)

£285 covers the cost of a full day (including swimming with dolphins) for TWO children at Discovery Cove, Orlando!

£450 covers ONE entire day of the trip for one of the VICs.

£560 pays for a group of children to visit one of Disney’s water parks....!!!

£4500 funds the full ‘trip of a lifetime’ for a child. The cost includes:
• Pre-trip get-togethers so the child can get to know their group and feelcomfortable
• Travel to/from London
• Welcome party in London, including food, entertainment (from dick and Dom (da bungalow!) and accommodation
• The privately-hired British Airways flight to/from Orlando
• Accommodation in Orlando for 8 nights
• Entry into the theme parks for the duration of the trip
• All meals and snacks, including ice-cream and drinks in the parks
• Any medical equipment or care needed on the trip
• Toys and gifts to bring home
• Photos and a special DVD of the trip for each child
• A ‘reunion’ to see the film of their group’s trip on the big screen in a cinema with their families

So let’s do this. Let’s smash that target for a second year running. Love you all!! Xxx
